In this week's text, we see the religious leaders' plot to kill Jesus, Jesus anointed for burial, Jesus betrayed by Judas, and the final Passover meal Jesus shares with his disciples. This meal brings together many themes of Scripture to focus them on the sacrifice of Jesus on our behalf, and in doing so we see that our God is a God who keeps his promises.
