Mark - Part 10

In this passage, Jesus inspects a fig tree that appears leafy and green, only to find that it is lacking fruit. Similarly, as he inspects the temple, he finds that it is lacking true spiritual fruit. Just as the judgment Jesus pronounced on the fig tree came to pass, so too the judgment Jesus pronounced on the temple will soon come to pass.
