As Absalom's rebellion continues, God uses Hushai to give Absalom advice that undermines the advice of Ahithophel and provides David time to prepare his army; we see God's sovereignty at work again in the affairs of men. Absalom dies the death of a cursed man in return for his rebellion. God protects David's kingdom, and all of this foreshadows the kingdom of Christ - a kingdom which cannot fail.
